JSC Sets Two-Day Interviews for Supreme Court Judge Position Next Week with Five Candidates Shortlisted
The Judicial Service Commission has scheduled interviews for the vacant position of judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya for next week, advancing the recruitment drive to fill the seat.
The interviews will take place over two days, starting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and concluding on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Five shortlisted candidates will appear before the commission during this period.
Justice Joseph Kipchumba Kigen Katwa is slated to face the panel first, appearing on Tuesday morning. The other candidates scheduled for the interviews include Anne Waceke Kiratu Makori, Justice Joseph Kiplagat Sergon, Justice Francis Kipruto Tuiyott, and Justice Abdulahi Mohammed Warsame.
Preparations for extensive media coverage of the process are already underway. Media houses will hold a joint set-up session on Sunday at the Milimani Law Courts Ceremonial Hall, beginning at 2 pm. This arrangement aims to facilitate smooth and comprehensive reporting of the high-profile exercise.
